anyone that uses these mitts , do you have the need for both ? is the med grade that much more aggressive ? I already have the fine grade and just wondering if I should get a med grade ? it's made out of same material - what makes it more aggressive ? maybe I can get by with just fine grade no problemo ?

I have the fine mitt works great just make sure you use it on glass first before you use it on paint.

What type of cars do you do? I do a lot of beat up daily drivers and find that the medium grade saves me time. I will probably pick up the fine grade soon but with the choice of just one I would get the medium.

I still like to clay so if a car is really bad I just use clay.

Why would you use clay? If you have the mitts, you can do just as good as clay in 1/3 the time. The medium grit will take care off any bonded contaminants:)

good point , same for me here also , daily drivers . I think med grade would be worth getting .

both these mitts have same type of rubber , what really makes one more aggressive than the other ? bigger deeper ridges or something ?

I would personally get the fine grade

It wouldn't be as aggressive on the clear coat and you should still be able to remove all of the particles. May take a little longer but to me it's worth it if it's safer on the paint.
