I got my first door ding on my '14 VW Golf. I'll get a picture up ASAP. It's a ding and a scratch. The scratch is to the metal (or primer). I bought some VW touchup paint for now. The touch up has two parts the color pen and the clearcoat pen.
I realize to fix this properly will require a dint popper and repaint. But in the short term does anyone have any tips on applying the touchup paint? Will touchup paint keep rust from forming? Should I just bite the bullet and get it repaired properly and forgo the touchup paint? Thank you.
