Griots DA with 5" backing plate.

I have an area of my CR-V where I cant get good correction. Its the concave curved area where the hatch release is.

A MF pad wont bend enough to get good surface contact, and my blue hydrotech foam pads slow the rotation down too much to allow much if any pressure.

I think I need a thicker pad something with enough 'squish' to match the surface but not slow down the polisher like the thin hydrotech pad does.

But something with a lot of cut, preferably more cut than the blue hydrotech.

Any advice?

Or a smaller pad. I'd use a 3.5" pad with a three inch backing plate. Gives you enough "squish" and the smaller backing plate on the slightly larger pad lets the edges have some flex. The smaller bp/pad also helps to prevent the GG from bogging down.

I was actually going to try that this weekend but I couldent find my backing plate removal tool, lol.
