So I have not been detailing for a while. still taking good care of my cars and stuff like that. just been off line for a while and been out of the loop and need help with my products if they are good or if yall like something better then the other products I have.

Also im looking for a good dressing for wheel wells hopefully something that sales in gallon size and what compound and polishes and pads do you recommend? Feed back please

Don't worry Brian you haven't missed too much.

For wheel wells I like Meguiars Hyperdressing. You can get it in a gallon and dilute it to your needs or liking.

You have most of the compounds that I would use. If you haven't tried FG400 or even Uber compound give those a shot they are very user friendly.

Also for polishes you look good on that.

Very respectable supply. I'm very lazy with wheel wells. I go straight to a solvent based aerosol dressing for wheel wells, obviously not available in gallons. Hyper dressing is very economical, but not durable; just depends on your priorities.

Menzerna fg400 and sf4000/sf4500 has been a very popular combo lately.

The difference is uber and fg400 are very user friendly with lower dusting than m105.

ok so the sf4000 and fg400 is kind of like twins like m105 and m205? and what is sf4500 looked it up its a polish like sf4000 so whats the difference which is better? Feed back please

IMO, the biggest difference:

Uber and FG400 are DAT

M105 is SMAT

As I get a little more experience with M105...I think we all may be working it too long. I am going to use M105/Purple Foamed Wool/3401 this weekend and try doing just 3 passes, instead of the normal 4-5 I try to get out if it

I think it cuts so fast that it has to dust when worked too long

I am too picky to think that any compound will finish out well enough that it wont require a 2nd step to maximize the shine

SF4500 is one level down on cut versus SF4000

I have used a fair amount of Wolfgang Finishing Glaze, which is SF4000's cousin. On a lot of paints, it is tough to see any change using it after cutting polish like Wolfgang Total Swirl Remover

Ok thanks Allen! For the chart it's helpful so since uber and fg400 is on the same Strongest if you say is it personal preference on these two or 3 I should say?

And Wolfgang finishing glaze goes with uber?

Speaking of compounds and pads I know it will be different for each car what pads do yall recommend? For 2 step paint correction?

That is definitely dependent on the level of correction you are doing. I haven't had to go beyond white and grey ccs pads. But some people regularly use orange for the compounding step.

Also, MF pads only come in cutting and finishing. So that takes some guesswork out of it.
