I am looking for some tire dressing and trim as well. I would like to get the wet look on the tires. Makes it look clean. I also want to get recommendations on a good trim product for the window trims for example.

would chemical guys extreme vrp dressing give me a nice wet tire look?

I recommend Optimum Opti-Bond tire gel. It has a natural looking sheen to it when applied to tires and trim that does not look fake/glossy.

Before Tire Gel:

After Optimum Opti-Bond Gel (1 coat... can layer for a glossier appearance):

Opti-Bond is water based so it is very safe to use. It also lasts extremely well on both tires and trim.

thanks. Do you usually dilute 1:1 or just use the Gel on a foam pad? any suggestions for window trim?

Pinnacle Black Onyx Tire Gel
Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant

Edit**

A couple better pictures. You can see the trim by the wheels that I've used the WETS on, and the Gel on the tires.

+1 on Optimum Opti Bond. It lasts and looks awesome. I usually apply at full strength but lately i've been applying at 1:1. Cutting it makes an affordable product even more cost effective. I've been using a 32oz bottle for a couple years now.

I've also heard good things about CarPro PERL.

For tires, Opti Bond, Perl or CG Silk Shine. For trim it's hard to beat Ultima Tire and Trim Guard Plus.

Chemical Guys Extreme V.R.P Super Shine.
A little goes along way and dries to the touch in seconds, all for a great price.
When my bottle was half empty I filled it with water and shook it well giving me a full bottle without losing any shine or protection.
It's all I use now.
Last me about two weeks and I travel 100 miles per day.
Water based too.

Great stuff:)

I like Optibond and Poorboys Bright/Bold on tires. Both go from dark to glossy with a second coat 5-10 minutes after first, and no spitting.

For trim, Wolfgang is the way to go !

DG271 for trim, and I like the Meg endurance gel personally but have some more "shiny" stuff for those who like that look

I also use CG V.R.P, holds up in the rain and it looks good. Not too much and not too little. Cheap and you can dilute it if you want also.

I'm going to recommend Prima Infinty because its a polymer blend and beads water like a wax on trim. This also makes it last longer than OptiBond. It looks very good on tires.

That being said, I use OptiBond and Bold n Bright for my garage queen. Both look great.

The only really durable stuff I've used is Tuff Shine for tires and DLux for trim.

For exterior trim it might be worth considering CarPro Dlux which will give you great durability

Ultima Tire and Trim Guard Plus for me on the trim. Simple, effective and durable.

Tuf Shine cleaner and clearcoat is my choice for tires. So much so that I doubt I'll experiment with anything else. Couldn't believe how clean my tires looked after 500 miles and frequent rains! The best part about Tuf Shine - no sling! Even with several coats for a bit more gloss than the standard subtle sheen.

I also use CG V.R.P, holds up in the rain and it looks good. Not too much and not too little. Cheap and you can dilute it if you want also.

I sprayed some APC full strength to remove it, sort of a test but I had to spray it many times and there were still signs of the product on my tires.
Best part, zero sling:)
Price can't be beat.

Megs has a clear bottle of gel that is purple. The liquid is purple and not the bottle. This stuff is super shiny but u have to let it dry and wipe off excess or it will splatter all over your car. It is great for a wet look. If you apply it right its awesome for that look. Lasts forever and ever....and ever and ever

thanks guys i decided to give Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant a try and Optimum Opti-Bond tire gel. if i don't like the results then I will try other products till i find the one i like.

thanks again guys

Check out Pinnacle Black Onyx for tires, more money but WELL worth it IMO! DP tire gel is the best for the money though and controllable, extra swipes add shine, spreads well and holds up great!

Sent from my SPH-M930 using AG Online

If you are applying on hard plastic trim, DP Paint Coating can actually be applied if I remember correctly.
