Can anyone provide me some good tips for vacuuming interior car carpets? I am having trouble getting all the little pieces of debris out that get stuck in the carpet fibers. I am using a powerful shop vac and have tried different types of brushes, but it is time consuming to get it clean. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Bill

Even with a powerful vac sometimes it gets intwisted in the fibers (is that a word LOL)
Toyotas have a crazy furry trap all type and pile that is a pain to get totally clean. Be careful brushing like a mad man as you can damage the fibers of the carpet and they will get furry if you know what I mean
Do your best with the brush and maybe a lint brush and call it a day ... Unless of course you have a pair of tweezers!

A good carpet cleaning brush is a must. It will dislodge dirt and other debris.

Mothers Brush is pretty good. The bristle density seems about right..not too dense.

Have you tried a stiff bristle attachment on the vac? I normally start by giving a quick vac with the claw attachment, then agitate with a carpet brush, then switch attachments to a stiff brush attachment for the second pass. Then you can follow up with a crevice tool to get the rest of the stuff out.

If some of the dirt still remains, you can always use a high foaming carpet cleaner to lift stuff to the top and vac it out.

Also, an air compressor works wonders to force stuff out of the fibers.

I use an air blow gun after a pass with a claw nozzle, then final with a dusting brush nozzle
