HI ALL... WANTING TO GET SOME SOME INPUT ON A GOOD PROGRAM FOR A NEW ARTIC WHITE 535 BMW. THE CAR IS CURRENTLY BEING BUILT AND SHOULD BE READY FOR ITS INITIAL DETAIL IN ABOUT 6 WEEKS . WANTED TO SEE WHAT OTHERS WOULD USE AS FAR AS INITIAL AND MAINTENCE PROTECTION FOR SHINE AND DURABILITY AS IT RELATES TO BMW PAINT SPECIFICALLY. THAKS IN ADVANCE Feed back please:dblthumb2:

I use Power Lock on my wife's 128i convert in Arctic White. FG400 for a full correction after we bought it pre loved. I used my Flex, as BMW paint is harder

First and foremost...do NOT let the dealer detail it or even wash it prior to delivery. Then drive home that beautiful, unscratched (but dirty) paint and wash it carefully before using Iron X and a clay bar or nanoskin to decontaminate. Then either buff it out or if you don't have a machine apply any of the several LSP's recommended here. I personally use Blackfire Wet Diamond on my black BMW but that's just my preference.

Congratulations on the order and purchase. The wait's a killer, isn't it.

Agreed. I told the Mercedes salesman, if anyone breathes on my car he can keep it. I literally drive it off the lot with it still shrink wrapped in plastic. He told me I'm the only one he's ever seen in 20 years take a car like that. No offense, but those dealer detailers are total butchers and hack & wack at the paint. And even if they are "good" they are told to prep the car in under 2 hours...so the job is never done right. Once I got it home I used:

2 bucket wash with grit guards
IronX
Clay
Flex 3401
Pinnacle Advanced Swirl Remover
Pinnacle Black Label Polish
Pinnacle Diamond Surface Coating

It still looks awesome months later. Enjoy the 535. It's an awesome car.

A car salesman for 20 yrs!!!! He should have been a general manager or owner by then! Or maybe he's not very good at his job.

Your gonna be so happy you went with white, I have a 95 M3 in alpine white and a 15 Audi S4 in ibis white and they are the best in hiding scratches and swirls, very easy to maintain..good luck and don't forget to post pictures of your new BMW
