I’m getting a new Q5 soon and was wondering about the best way to take care of all the different types of plastic and there’s a bunch of it! It has a plastic chrome grille and fog light surrounds, some honeycomb plastic (PITA) and solid panels around the tailpipes and fog lights, a solid plastic skid plate below the front bumper, another long panel under the rear roof lip around the 3rd brake light and a wide high gloss, very easily scratched, panel for the front license plate (probably acrylic or polycarbonate?) I was thinking about the Wolfgang Plastik Surface Sealant for the black high gloss panel in front and maybe the CD-2 engine detailer for the textured parts? I’ve been using Plexus on the headlights, tail lights and the vinyl convertible rear window on another car with excellent results. Can I use Plexus on top of the WPSS in between applications or will it strip the sealant? I’m looking for the best products, tools and techniques to keep it all looking new. The dealer just got some 2011 models in so I was able to see one in person today and get some pics to post. All tips, tricks, experience and advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
