hello , I just got a 2015 Camaro SS, I would like to do the initial detail and paint correction ( minor swirls). If anyone could provide info on this particular car it would be great. Color is Blue Velvet. I have a flex 3401 and a PC, as far as polish I have the XMT line up, Menzerna FG400 and 4500, 8 LC orange, 8 blue and 8 white hybrid pads also 4 gold jeweling pads. Blackfire compound and finishing polish wet diamond and midnight sun. Please advise what will be the best approach. thanks in advance.Feed back please

Thanks, that's what I was thinking. Just was not quite sure 4500 had enough bite but will do a test spot on the most swirled area. (darn dealership detailers)

If you can, I'd also do an IronX decon then clay...nothing like dealership swirls urgh!

That is my favorite Camaro color! SWEET!

I would go with the Blackfire line personally.

Before you compound, try using a polish alone. Given the car is new, a polish might be sufficient to remove what swirls are on teh car. Do a test spot.

After the paint is corrected, I bed midnight sun will look awesome on that car!

Jaretr1. Was going to get black saw that one and it was love at first sight . Thanks
Billy thanks for the tip on the paint .

I am waiting on the 2016. I saw a color pallet of available colors and one of them will be a dark blue similar to yours. Actually, credit GM as the colors for the 2016 look excellent. 10 colors options.

When I was a kid, my parents had a 1976 Chevrolet Caprice which was a dark metallic blue. I used to look at the color of that car and think to myself, even at a young age how nice it was (the car was a pile of crap). The Blue velvet is close to that.
