Ive never noticed this before on other waxes that I have ( maybe because they are WOWO style waxes/more greasy-ish ) but I bought a can of Finish Kare's Hi temp Big White paste wax and its split in three. Just came in today, cooler temps around 55-60s. Also I noticed that the can doesn't seal well, Im trying to push it down and its just popping back up. Sorry if this is basic, but Ive never had this before. To me,t he cracking would signify drying of the wax/solvents have evaporated, no?

Thanks!

I’ve seen numerous waxes cracked. I believe the wax is fine for use.

Send it back if the lid doesn't seat properly.

Yes cracking is normal with a lot of waxes, my new tin of Collinite 476s just came in yesterday and the wax was cracked in three. Those tins should have a great seal on them, sometimes it takes some force to get them down back down and you need to make sure you don’t pinch your hands. Was the lid not seated right when it came in?

Cracking will not hurt the wax but does look unsightly. I agree with the others though, if the lid will not reseal send it back and get a new pot. FK1000p is a great sealant!

Put the can in pot of hot water. It will fix the issue.

thanks guys, I contacted AGO via email, I'll see what they say

Last time I contacted them via email about a damaged item container.....let's just say I was surprised how great the customer service is :)

Agreed. Phenomenal customer service!! My gf just picked up an order of mine today.

I put the tin of Collinite in a vacuum sealer bag and pump it down. No air there ;)

Not sure but it lets me use my vac. sealer which is another cool tool :)

Seriously though, given how little/often I use some products, I want to keep them air-tight. Whether it's actually useful
is besides the point :)

I do the same as Howard, i keep my waxes in ziplock baggies just for another level of air tight.

FK High Temp can is like a gallon paint can. I typically tap the lid on my FKHT with a small hammer and put in a ziplock after. The product should be fine if it has cracks in it. As long as it isn’t liquified or gelatinous looking it’ll be good to go.
