Sunday was a hell of a day spent in the garage with my new pride and joy. Naturally this won't be very exciting because I didn't take any before's, but everyone knows what you get from dealerships "brand new".

6.5 hours of washing, stripping, claying and polishing finished by Opti-coat on all painted surfaces (waiting for opti-glass in the mail I'm quite excited for that). I got a great finish on the pearl white and I'm very pleased as I'm never that confident in my polishing ability. Hopefully the very few photos I snapped do it justice.

And naturally a small break after polishing was done!:xyxthumbs:

No full car shots because I couldn't find my wide angle lens and it was raining outside. Gotta love Washington! Optimum polish and finish polish, Pinnacle ultra poly clay, Ultima Waterless for the washes and clay lube, IPA and Opti-Coat.

Great work! Excellent choice of products from the Pinnacle Clay to Guinness beer.
Curious, you shooting from a 50mm lens?

Yeah 50mm 1.4. Love this lens... unless you need something else :D

You got some really nice shine from your polishing and other steps. now it is all sealed up with OC. Congrats! Looks really good.

The more you polish the better you get I suppose. still don't feel like I reach mirror finish like the pro's here :buffing:
