Hey guys with the sale this weekend that Ag is running I bought a new flex. I have only been detailing cars on the weekends for the past 2 months just as a hobby. I have became addicted to doing this with any time off from work I have. I also read so many good things about the flex I had to get it. My question is do you guys who ended upgrading from the PC still use it? And if so for what?

i've said this many times and IMO everyone should have at least one traditional style DA. it's versatile and you can use it with carpet brush attachments, wetsanding, and with a smaller pad set-up, etc. if you have a friend or family member who wants to learn you can always teach them and also have it as a spare/back-up...

I have a rotary, Rupes and and a PC and I still use all 3. Each one for their own specific job of course. and I like to think of it as another tool in my toolbox.

Yes, I prefer the DA for paint cleaners and wax application.

Agreed.

I have a 3401 as well and although I love it to death I will not get rid of my G110v2 because of what was stated above.

The more polishers you have on hand the more options you'll realize...:props:

I still use my PC 7242 as well as my GG6". The flex is a good polisher but the other DA's will offer more option that the flex doesn't have.

Enjoy the Flex.

I have a DeWalt rotary that I use most of the time but there are times I just want to use my PC.
In fact I'm using it to prep my new 2014 Mirage, I did however use my rotary on the bumpers and headlights.

IMO everyone should own a DA, sometimes it's all you need.

I dumped my PC for the Flex, but then purchased the rupes lhr75e

I wasn't planning on getting rid of it was just interested to see what u guys use them for

I love my Flex. I still have my PC 7424 XP and my 3" GG. I do not use them as much because of the Flex. I will only use the PC or GG to make sure I can be adaptable with all DA's and/or just for fun.

I agree with scrubs147 (LOL) my toolbox is heavier!!

I do keep my 3" GG with a small polishing/sealant/waxing kit with MF towels to do spot scratch fixes.

Either way all fun with any DA whether it be a Rupes, Flex, PC, or GG
