Well just to introduce myself, my name is Chris and im originally from Rhode Island. I am in the military and was just stationed at Fort Knox, KY. I have been to Korea, Germany, Iraq and Fort Knox, I am about to head to Warrant Officer Candidate School in Fort Rucker, AL, and then on to become a helicopter pilot. I just recently purchased an 07 Acura TL Type S, in Kinetic Blue Pearl. I also just purchased a PC 7424XP along with some menzerna polishes and Einszett sealant. I plan to find some time to do the car real nice, but it might have to wait till after i finish school. The first school is only a month so i would only have to wait that long.. Well thats enough about me and my life. Glad i found this forum as i am an active member on several forums and recently became interested about detailing and wanted to take a "STAB" at it..lol Hope to learn a lot here and hope to here from some of you if i ask some questions, which i will.. Take care everyone:bowdown:

Chris

Welcome my fellow Kentuckian.........The best State in the Country and the home of the Kentucky Wildcats ( 2010 ) National Champions, Yeah, you heard it first from me !!! Go Big Blue.

thanks everyone. i will only be in kentucky for another 3 days or so. Then its off to Ft. Rucker.. Does anyone have any recommendations for detailing my car. i have everything i need minus the garage.. is it ok to detail outside as long as its not in the sunlight? i dont have any fancy halogens or a place to store them if i did. Does anyone know someone down in alabama that details where i could meet up maybe and use a spot? haha well wishful thinking.

also another quick question. I just took off the acura and tl badges off the back of my car and noticed that it seems like the glue is super hard that they used and i got most of it off but it seems like its in the paint. i tried to claybar it and use goo gone and clean with a micro fiber towel but a little is still there. Any suggestions?

Try a hairdryer to heat some of the adhesive and use some goo gone after that... remember not to get it too hot

Kentucky is OK, my only gripe with KY is that they must not teach them or make it mandatory in driving school or to get your license to use your directionals. I mean everyone swerves in and out of lanes and gives you dirty looks like you are an a-hole..haha but other than that kentucky scenery reminds me of Rhode Island so its not that bad.
