Hows it going, i was introduced to this website and these forums by P1ET....i was reading through a portion of our truck care forums at dodgetruckworld.com and i chanced upon a thread about P1ET's experience with i believe poorboy's brand products and his before and after pics and i must say it made me want to step it up a notch on the borin old white truck.

So my list of products i gnerally use are:

Mothers back to black
Mothers mag & aluminum
Mothers clay bar
Meguiars gold class car wash
Meguiars scratch x
Meguiars cleaner wax
Meguiars nxt generation tech wax
Meguiars nxt generation plastic shine
Westley bleach white (black wall safe version)
Stoners invisible glass
Bar keepers friend ( use it as an abrasive to clean up the hard water stains on the windows)

So as yall can see im a BIG fan of meguiars its given me the best results on both my ram and my brothers firebird (both white).....but it leaves something to be desired on my moms silverado (indigo blue) and my dads ford contour (champiagne)...(yes we are an all domestic family)..so im hoping in the near future to pick up the poor boys kit and a foam gun and go to town.

heres a pic of the bird after i finished up the waxing portion a bit earlier today

Welcome aboard! Lots of great folks here with a ton of knowledge.

That is one WHITE bird!

Megs makes alot of good products, but in no time we will likely show you some that are considered the "best of the best" also. Welcome !!

Welcome to the site Firebird looks great, White is hard to make wet it takes an effort and you can only really see white wet during dusk/dawn. But in the right light with the right products white have have a wet look (with the right light) heres Klasse All-in-one and Wolfgang Deep Gloss Sealant on the rear quarter panel

Wystang .... I think you need to try the new DP Sealant. I think you will see a difference on white and a very glossy and reflective finish.

theres a pic of me and my truck prior to leaving for active duty (army) back in 2004....ahh the good ol days before i screwed up my knee (army acident)...

Well, I think the lighting has alot to do with white vehicles looking reflective / wet and it's hard to get the photos to show off your work if the lighting isn't right. Sweet truck, take some more photos you'll get the look you want....

yeah i havnt really taken that into consideration yet, my main gripe is no matter what i can't get a pic that shows the dramatic before and after, especially with the firebird...that thing is more my pride and joy than my brother who owns it ! I love projects/toy ive got more than a few myself but the ram has taken priority since it is my daily driver....other 2 toys are a 78 firebird esprit and a 73 charger both are complete rebuilds that are my long term projects.....

the ram was my first vehicle and i will not deny the fact that i abused it like every other kid......i tore it up offroading thats where the majority of the body damage came from, and i know this is gonna make some people gringe but when i would go mudding i would leave the mud on for weeks on end......i used it like it was meant to be a good ol fashioned 4wd truck.....it wasnt until i got into the drag racing scene where i started being a bit anal on keeping it clean.....and when the engine went i was heartbroken.....so i worked my butt off to build myself a 426 stroker engine leaving the only stock pieces being the intake manifold and valve covers :)

i wont tease with just words ill let yall witness the videos as well .....the videos were taken with my cell phone so excuse the quality.....

doing a 2k rev on open shorty headers

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Yjk9uIbGJ8

and a little brother love :) i didnt hit above 1400 rpm throughout the entire video.....yall can be the judge on if the firebird is trying or not

another reason ive decided to start detailing....whats the good in going fast without looking good while doing so :)
