Hello, I am new to this Forum. Just here to learn and observe the forums for what is good and how to keep up with basic detailing of my new car I bought a month ago.

What have you done to your car so far? i.e. How do you wash it? What car wash soap & mitt? Or have you taken it to get washed? Have you waxed it?

Eh havent done anything to it really. Since its brand new and I have a 2 year old, I sprayed the interior down with scotchguard. I live in an apartment complex so I have only taken it to get it washed, which I know is bad. Eventually I am going to go with some Optimum no Rinse at some point. Usually after I wash it I dry it off and spray it down with some Quik Detailer.

When I used to hand my old cars, I just did the 2 bucket method no grit guard, some basic meguiars soap and some wash mitt. Use some Meguiars wax, learning about other stuff to use as well.

Yeah I like the paddle shifters but I dont use them often. I love the gas mileage on it so far. Right now with how I drive I average about 36 mpg? Im used to only hitting about 300ish miles on my past Camry/Corolla, first time I have had a car hit 500 miles before it needed gas....
