Well I am a NOOB and wanted to introduce myself. I have always been into keeping my vehicles clean, but just never had the knowledge on the proper techniques. So I am hear to learn, and occasionaly throw my 2 cents in. I just got a PC at Lowes for a steal, and now I am looking to get everything I need as money permits. I have an 88 mustang that has some heavy scratches and oxidation, and a 02 silverado that needs a good polish and wax. I am really hoping to turn the mustang around since it is black paint. So anyways, HI! :D

Hi, Welcome to ag im sure you will find anything you need here. Dont be shy ask as many questions as you would like no question is to small! Remember to post pics too hehe

Welcome! If you have any questions feel free to ask there are a lot of pros here!

Welcome!
You will like it here. Nice people with the best of intentions and the best products!!!!!!!

(Except a few people hold grudges.)

Welcome. If you hang around here long enough you'll turn that Mustang's paint around in no time. Then you have to post pics!

Thanks for the warm welcome. I am still trying to absorb as much of this information as I can. I never thought there would be so much information. I promise also to do a search before asking a question, as I know that can be frustrating. The mustang is my first car so I am hoping to get it looking nice from closer then 15 feet, LOL. O yeah, just got a new digi camera so I can actually put pics up. Glad to be part of the family.........:grouphug:

Thanks Florida Native. I have read through that. Right now I am trying to figure out which products to buy. So far I have a PC7336SP. Trying to figure out what else I need, but it seems like anything else, it all depends on preference.

Well fortunately there are alot of polishes on sale right now so you came at a good time.:) http://autogeek.net/prewaxpolishes.html

My vote would be this kit. You just cannot beat the price for these products. :) http://autogeek.net/pin450.html

LOL, I was just looking at that kit. Seems like a heck of a great deal. It has bad oxidation and scratches, and swirls. Should I also get the nxt? I need to do a search to see if there is write up on just getting started what to buy. Especially MF towels. So much info, brain overload....

Does anybody know when/where I will get my 10% off code?

It should come to you via email. Just a head's up, it is only valid for one week after the date that you signed up. :)

This kit comes with a wax already (liquid Souveran) so you wouldn't need to add NXT. :)

see, I told you I was new. LOL! Thanks for the info. I will look in my email box.

As far as MF's. A Cobra guzzler, some super plushes and some indigos are a great way to get you started. You use the guzzler for drying after washing, the super plushes are great for quick detailer sprays and the indigos are great for removing residues from polishing, sealants and waxes. And I would highly recommend a shmitt wash mitt. :)

Thanks FN, thats a nice concise reply. How many do you think I need to start with?

It's a good idea to have at least 2 guzzlers especially since you have 2 cars, most likely you'll wash them at the same time. The guzzler combo kit gives you a good bang for your buck. http://search.store.yahoo.com/cgi-bin/nsearch?catalog=autogeek&.autodone=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.autogeek.net%2Fnsearch.html&query=guzzler

As for the mf's you can probably get away with 3 of each to begin with until you can buy some more, but if the money isn't an issue then this is a good deal right here. http://www.autogeek.net/mitoco.html
