Four hours. Thanks, he's a good artist. The whole family uses him.
It actually looks a little better now, that was the morning after it was done some swelling and ink bleed. I had the exact image on my t-shirt when I took it off the next morning lol
 
Oh I know what you mean! And that'll never come out in the wash. What are you using to heal it? I've had amazing results with aquaphor (in baby section). Is this your first tattoo? If so, prepare yourself for many more!

That's what I use to help it heal. I actually got this one on my birthday in May. I was having issues with my laptop and couldn't post pics. Just got that resolved. This is actually my third tattoo.
 
Good deal Dave. I just started my new sleeve last month. I've decided to go full sleeve, it's for my kids and other things I hold close to my heart. Gonna take some time as my artist is in Charlotte and I'm in Baltimore. I plan to go down 2-3 times a year to work on it. Gonna be fun times lol
 
Sounds like an adventure. The Phienix has meaning to me because some things that have happened in my life.
 
Tattoos are supposed to be personal and have meaning. I know you've seen people that got a tattoo just to fit in.

Nice tat dude. I very badly want a full sleeve to but I am also in the camp that tattoos need to have meaning

Right! By far the most painful one I got lol I've heard the inside of the bicep isn't real pleasant either.

Inside bicep sucks horribly, but it gives lifelong bragging rights
 
I sure do, it desperately needs to be redone, but that ain't happening lol
