The day came, and I traded my Jeep for a 2006 Miata that is in extraordinary condition for it's age. It has the color "Winning Blue Metallic" so it's a big change from my glossy Red Jeep. Here are some pictures! Also, does anyone have any suggested products that work exceptionally well on lighter, metallic colors?

In this picture, I used Chem. Guys Blacklight covered in a layer of Blackfire Wet Diamond sealant. This was the only sealant I had on hand at the time, and I felt like a metallic color demanded a synthetic rather than a Nuba! Although... I will probably layer P21s 100% over top of that at a later date just to see how it looks!

Any suggestions for Metallic Paint? I'm a huge fan of Quick Detailers and Spray Waxes, since I almost never have time for a full detail. I normally use Crystal Mist or V7. (Even though V7 is technically a spray sealant) Any that may be better for this color? Not that they really differ that much?

Here's the best of my first photoshoot! http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/picture.php?albumid=463&pictureid=2844

I use UWWP+ as a quick detailer for my aqua blue metallic camaro. It seems to work great! But most quick detailers do, however UWWP+ is really cheap for how much you get.

I'm always up for saving money, that's for sure. I may put in an order for some of that soon. I assume that's more of a spray wax than a detailer? Or am I wrong? I could use both, and I really like to have spray waxes around in the winter to boost my paint's protection with all the salt on the road.

I just dug out my old bottle of Meguiar's Ultimate Quick Detailer and that actually works pretty well. I haven't used that stuff since I got into Crystal Mist, V7, etc so it's been a while since I saw it's results. It seems to make the metallic pop a little more than any of my other detailers.

I don't think it has any wax actually. But it can be used as a rinseless wash or washless wash as well as a QD. So 3 in 1 if you want to view it that way.

I however only use it for QD. 25 or so dollars including shipping ends up making around 5.5 gallons!

I actually moved from meguiars Ult QD to this because it was so expensive!

You aren't lying... =O I don't know if I want to pay for UQD after I run out. lol. Even though it's still half what something like Crystal Mist would cost.
