Hello! My name is Allan. It's been awhile since I've posted on a forum. I used to be active on other forums such as Audiworld, Audizine in the early 2000s while attending college. I've taken a couple Meguiar detail classes back in 2008 but soon after I lost interest in detailing my cars and left it to the professionals.

My story begins 2 weeks ago...

I was out in the garage doing some cleaning and found my old PC 7424 non XP version hidden beneath a bunch of boxes. After plugging it in and testing if it still worked I decided to fix some minor defects on my wife's car. I started with the hood. Ehhh not bad.. got most of the swirls out except the minor deep swirls. After completing the hood and seeing the results I figured what the heck I'm going to do the whole car! I ended up using Meguiars 105 and 205 that I had laying around that i purchased last year but never used until now. Then finished it off with Synthetic Sealant #21. The whole process took me a good 8 hrs with breaks in between.

It has been a long time since I used the PC 7424, maybe around 3-4 years. So I went on the internet to do some research on detail methods, products, tips & tricks and found Autogeek.net. I began to learn about the FLEX machines and from there I started watching the videos and searching youtube for how-to's. I learned a great deal from watching Mike and a user named JunkMan who provided a lot of good info.

As of today I ordered the FLEX PE14-2-150 and the FLEX XC 3401 VRG. I couldn't decide which route to take. Rotary? Dual Action? So after an hour of adding and removing them from my cart I closed my eyes and clicked the purchase button for both machines!!!!

I've always used Meguiars Products so I ended up purchasing Menzerna Power finish and Super finish to try something different. Also, I'm looking forward to trying out the Lake Country pads since all I've used were meguiars pads. Never tried the two bucket wash method with grit guards so I ended up picking those up also. So right now I'm excited. I can't wait to receive the new machines and products.

Having the wifes credit card linked to my paypal account helps :props: LOL she's gonna kill me when her statement arrives.

I'll post pics of the goodies with they arrive and before and afters of my cars when I get them done.

THANKS AUTOGEEK!
