I am getting ready to detail my cars for the first time. I have a light silver metallic '06 Acura with 8k miles and a light silver metallic Honda with 2k miles. Neither vehicle has ever been waxed but has been washed every 7-10 days. A few scratches in the Acura and none that I notice in the Honda. The process I plan to use is:
(1) wash with PB Super Slick and Suds and a ShMITT
(2) dry with a guzzler
(3) clay with Pinnacle Ultra Poly
(4) clean/polish with Klasse AIO ???
(5) two layers of 4* UPP
(6) wax with Liquid Soveran
My biggest question is in regards to step 4. I have some scratches in the Acura but do not have a PC yet so I doubt I will remove those by hand. Other than that the finish on both cars look good and I don't have any old layers of wax to remove. My questions are:
(1) Is the Klasse AIO needed/recommended? As a stand alone?
(2) and/or should I also use a polish like Optimum?
(3) and/or should I use a product like ClearKote VMG? (glaze before sealant???)
(4) If I use the AIO and either the OP or the VMG, in what order? Polish first or AIO first?
(4) How long do I wait between layers of UPP?
(5) How long do I wait for the UPP to cure before I apply the Liquid Soveran?
Thanks for the help!

#1. Klasse AIO is a paint cleaner with some protection. It is stated that it is a stand alone product yet I have never used it as such. I have used it to prepare for KSG, EX, ExP, Z2Pro, LS, or, any carnuaba paste wax.

#2. optimum makes a fine line of corrective polishes. So are the SSR lines of Poorboy's, Menzerna, Blackfire, and as of late the XMT series of swirl removers. Pick a line and use to correct and create a paint surface that you are satisfied with.

#3. cannot comment. I do not use glazes.

#4. It is my understanding that sealants should have between twelve and twenty four hours between coats. Often people put two coats on in one day to assure complete coverage then follow up with another layer in the 12 to 24 hour range to cap the detail off.

#5. I would think that the sealant curing time answers this question. I am not sure that I would put LS over UPP. If you like the look of LS go ahead and do it. I do not believe that it will hurt anything. I like LS becasue it is the easiest LSP that I have used to apply a nice thin coat. Makes my black paint shimmer. It does not have the lasting power of KSG.

BILL, that product sounds really good. I take it you have used it? What do you think of it? Do you think it would work good on a green color car?
