Hi,
I searched and found scent free type detergent can be used for MF towels, if you have no special MF detergent.

Should new MF towels be washed before using?
I used a super plush one yesterday for final wipe (new and not washed). It seemed to cling to a very clean windshield, was ok on paint.
Thanks

P.S. Dawn-blue????
I use this on almost all my car cleaning cotton towels

I would say go ahead and wash it. Sure, it may be new but who knows how that MF towel has been handled when packaging and/or handling. By washing a new MF towel, you can get rid of any trace of dirt so you are confident it won't scratch your paint. In addition, washing new towels can also remove any lingering lint stuck it so when your wiping down your ride, you don't have lint here and there. I always wash my new MF towels no matter who I buy it from. I rather be safe than sorry when it comes to my car.

thanks,
I had dried with a new one (not washed) and there was some lint.
Washed by hand wih Tide free and there was dye or something in them
that stained the water somewhat.

Now they're good to go.

ALWAYS wash your MF towels before use. New only means they were in a textile factory, a warehouse, a shipping container, a truck, removed and repackaged by many hands into many boxes and at time let to sit in warehouses without being covered.

One thought... If you don't want the colors to go from yellow and blue towels to green for instance wash them separate the first time even if for the same functional purpose. The first time around the colors mix easily.
