Hey all experts, I have a question. Every heard of FastWax products? RGS Labs International is the site. Some reps were giving demos at a local garage and selling it. Anyone know anything? I guess NASCAR guys use it as kind of an all around wipe on wipe off product.

Excuse me? What is Autopia?

Autogeek doesn't allow posting links to other products that they do not sell.
Autopia is another forum that allows the discussion of any producct such as the one you linked! :D

Sorry my friend, this is my first post. I was just wondering if anyone had used it or knew anything about it. So in this forum you can't discuss anything that Autogeek doesn't sell?

O god don't buy it!

One of my friends works for a local marketing company selling this shiz, it's terrible! From what I could tell by trying it on his car, it has poor lubricating properties and offers no protection against swirls or anything. He works 6 days a week, located at a different gas station each week and they are told to walk up to the nicest looking car, spray the stuff on a really dirty patch and start rubbing it off. The more they sell, the better they get paid (and paid quite well I must add- if they sell enough).

I have taught him some of the basic ways of proper detailing and he is actually looking to change departments in that company now - I feel proud haha.

Long story short, I told him that if he put that can of crud anywhere near my car I'd come to his house and key his car.

Stay away from fastwax.

Lets put it this way.....I wouldn't use it on my vehicles. :D

Oh and :welcome: to AG online!!!!

What would you expect if it is used on NASCAR cars?

Dale Jr. Recommends it. Enough for me to stay far far away. Better to stay with the waterless washes from Optimum and DP sold right here on AG. I have both of them and they work great.

Yeah that's exactly what these guys did! I let him use it on the tailgate of my Tundra and it worked. Nothing impressive but it worked. I am always weary of products that contain massive amounts of chemicals. I think I'll try some of the waterless things on Autogeek instead. I love to detail cars. I use a Cyclo and mostly Wolfgang products. It never hurts to ask though. Thanks all very much.

If some guy walks up to my Vette in a gas station and starts spraying stuff on it he better be wearing a mouthpiece and headgear because its on!

It wouldn't matter if he did have protective gear, because i would still ring his bell. What an asinine idea to sell product to people, reminds me of the street light bandits and their newspaper and water spray !!!!

Nope, although I was _KneeDragr on gixxer.com when I had a 2008 750. That was the best track bike I ever had.

What a coincedence this is. I washed my car yesterday after storms blew thru, yes washed twice in 3 days I have an issue I know. Anyhow some guy walks up at the gas station(Shell) with this filthy rag that looked like burlap(note to whomever knew someone at FastWax get them a cheap MF at least). I asked him not to and he started to anyway before I stepped in front of him and asked if he wanted a broken arm. Well he was beyond insulted and put the bottle and rag down on the ground and said what did you say. I told him got you to stop didn't I and BTW you should never put a rag on the ground that you're going to touch auto paint with. Pulled the gas nozzle out and drove away after pumping $8.35 worth of gas went to the next station down the road (Mobil) and finished in peace with my paint intact. This kind of approach to selling just makes zero sense to me. Who do you complain to the service station or the company selling the crap

I would try contacting the gas station owner and try and find out what marketing company placed him at the gas station and complain to them.

I too have had idiots trying this kind of selling at, of all places, rest areas on the interstates!

Not a smart thing to try when the owner is 'thumping tires' using a 5# pipe. With that scenario, a simple, "Don't even think about it," Works well...LOL.

Some reps were giving demos at a local garage and selling it. Anyone

I've seen people with EZ-up Canopy's at gas stations demoing and selling it and it's really a Joe Consumer type product.

Anything meant to be used on just about any car is going to be a cleaner/wax or AIO, it has to be because the average person drives a "Daily Driver" and this means the paint usually neglected. So in order for Joe Consumer to be impressed they have to see a visual change after using any type of car wax and that means the product needs to have some type of cleaning ability to both clean the paint, (change it for the better visually), and to enable whatever the protection ingredients are to stick to the paint so it lasts, another thing Joe Consumer is focused on.

I have quite a bit of information about cleaner/waxes in this thread,

The Difference Between a Cleaner/Wax and a Finishing Wax
