Sorry for the late reply, looks like you posted your first question to this thread on Thursday morning and I missed it and then was offline the rest of Friday, Saturday and Sunday...
since i only do my cars i dont need a whole lot since i might only polish maybe twice a year......
so is this good for atleast two times on one full size truck?
I would say
no.
You didn't mention how you were applying the product? RB? DA? 3401? By hand?
Of course the real answer depends upon how bad the swirls are to start with and how easy or hard it is to remove them out of the paint on your truck. You alway use more correction product, the M105 versus the finishing polish, the M205 because the heavy lifting, or major time spent removing swirls is done in the M105 step.
You might be able to go around a full size truck with the M105 with light swirls with 8 ounces but I would think that still wouldn't be enough, you'll use up some product just because it will soak into your pad. A Surbuf pad will decrease how much product you use just because it's a thinner pad with less area for product to soak into compared to a foam pad.
These 8 ounce size bottles are good for a number of reasons but one is to
try the product out to see if you like it and if it works for you before buying quarts or gallons. Then if you do like it, for a full size truck or two, get a quart. It's never fun to get halfway through a project only to find out you're out of product. If you don't use up all the product, just store it in a place where it won't go through high heat or low temperature extremes and it has a shelf life of 5 plus years.
Does that help?
