I didn't get any toys for Christmas but I get a new red toy. I got a great deal on the car and I could not pass it up. My wife and I travel 900 miles one way (Cape Coral, FL to Memphis, TN) pulling an enclosed car trailer to pick it up. The car is in great shape but needs a complete detail to get it up to Autogeek standards. I spent most of the day yesterday cleaning the engine bay and I'm not even finish. I going to pull the wheels off next and detail the wheels, brake calipers and wells. Next I do the interior. Finally I'm going to polish it with menzerna Micro Polish and finish it off with Souveran Paste over Wolfgang DGPS.

2002 Viper ACR with 4,900 miles on the clock.

That's a nice toy, Gary!!! Don't you already have a Viper??? And 2 Corvettes, and a truck, a van, MBZ E500, and a Lambo???
I wonder how much it costs to insure them all...

Now THAT is what I call a Christmas present! Congratulations on another supercar for the stable.

Beautiful car ... its amazing to see just how dated they are starting to look in comparision to the new ones however. Cannot wait to see the red a glow ...

Very nice. You are my hero. How about a nice group pic of the stable?
You picked her up just a couple hours away from me.

Gary, pretty soon you'll be able to have your own car show:) Beautiful ride---you have great taste. Make sure you post up the pics after it's been "geeked"!

Gary, that is awesome! The car already looks great so I'm looking forward to seeing your finished results.

Nice ride Gary. We need a pick of your collection.

Thats awesome Gary. Congrats on the new purchase. Can't wait for you to work your magic on it.

She's a beauty Gary. That Viper has the lines that look good forever IMO. Sort of like the Vettes.

Yep she's a beauty!!! very nice addition to the family Gary..

Conratulations

Jeez, I Only Got A New White Toy! Delivered On A Flatbed In The Snow.

Great looking car, Gary. I like that style of Viper more than the current one.

Congrats Gary. Love the viper, you have good taste ;)

 Congrats Gary!
What a beautiful car! I think you are very wise to pull those wheels off an make sure the are spotless! :D I can't wait to see the finished results! Heck of a Christmas present!

Thanks everyone for all the nice comments. It means a lot comming from my fellow autogeeks. :) I'll be sure to posts pictures as I get it detailed the way I want it to be (spot less inside and out including wheel wells and engine bay). I currently have a lot going on so it may take me a month to get it detailed. The time it takes is not important to me. I really enjoy doing it and try to do the best job I can.

Supercharged, I had sold my old 2002 Viper GTS a while back for an offer I could not refuse. A friend of mine who deals in exotic cars had a car collector in Japan who was looking to acquire a car exactly like the one I had. I was able to sell the car for nice profit after enjoying it for a number of years. I had purchased the car new in December 2003 from a dealer in southeast Florida for a great price. The new Vipers had been out but I love the lines of the older Vipers. It was the only car I had ever purchased and drove that I made money on when I sold it. My old 2002 Viper GTS had a sticker price of $79,000 compared to the sticker price of $90,000 on the 2002 Viper ACR I just purchased. I purchased the ACR for just over $20,000 less then I sold my old Viper for. So in the end everything as turned out well even if I regreted selling my old Viper after I sold it. I even keep my old Viper car cover on plans on buying another one when I found the right one.

As for car insurance any one of my cars it not to bad but when you add them all up it is expensive. I here about it from my wife every 6 months when the bill comes due.

I just went out side and kicked my car thanks too you.

Congrats on your new purchase Gary, it is without question a beautiful Viper. I to will be keeping an eye out for your detail job of it. Enjoy.
