Here I go again..

Looks like I'm about to start throwing money in Autogeeks direction again. Traded in my Silver 14 F150 FX4 over the weekend. Silver was the easiest color to keep clean and quite frankly, I hardly ever did anything other than a wash and wipe down with Aquawax. I swore off black vehicles because of the maintenance that black paint requires, but here I am again..

Say hello to my 17 Sierra 1500 SLT. Im the MAN

Planning on buying a new polisher with a plethora of pads and towels to keep that paint looking wet. Thankfully, I think I'm good on products.

The Color Black:
•Elegant
•Classic
•Speaks to Empowerment; i.e.:
-Ye know well enough the "power"
'twill take to keep it up-to-snuff...

Bob is right.

Caring for black is a real PIA at times but to me it's like waking up early in the morning to go work out, you might hating doing it but once you do, it makes all other choices seem unacceptable.

I absolutely love black. When it's in pristine condition it makes all other colors look bland in my opinion. I keep my stock black Sapphire Metallic Bimmer looking wet and it gets more compliments than my victory red SS customized Camaro does

I just bought a new 3500 sierra denali dually, I feel your pain already!!!!

I feel even worse for you. That's gonna be a killer to shine up.

Thanks guys. I'm trying to hold off on doing anything until it starts to cool off in a few months. Planning on doing a light polish and a seal and picking up a Rupes or Flex to help speed the process up. I've put enough hours on my PC to justify something new.

Congrats on the new ride and look into a ceramic paint coating, makes clean up easier and doesn't attract the dust like a traditional nuba does.

Congrats on the new black truck and your new part time job:)
Picked up a new daily about a month ago...the deep blue metallic was really nice until BLACK happened...again.

*sigh*

It's a disease.

Black paint is like a high-maintenance spouse. If your up for it, go for it. I'm too old to take care of black paint. It also gets very hot in the summer sun when it is straight up above.
