I have been having soo much trouble with tire shine pads.. I've used everything from a towel, to a MF, to a MF applicator, to round size pads, and everything in between.
THESE pads are from the olden days.. not really, but when I FIRST started out detailing at the local car wash.
The "felt" surface is incredibly soft, and holds product extremely well. The knob fits very nice in your hand and makes for applying any tire shine in a cinch.
This package came with a total of 4 pads. The pads snap off pretty easy, and include an alignment to the base.
No more product on your hands, or having to touch a really messy round pad or MF applicator.
(pad system)
(push this to the side, and pull the pad off; doesn't require much nor does it hurt your fingers)
Strengths: Incredibly easy application of tire shine. Good system for changing pads out. Makes dressing tires much faster. Large surface area. Large enough for big tires, and works perfect for those "slim" tires.
Weakness: Price. I pad $12.99 for this whole setup. Additional pads cost $6 for 2. Worth it? Every penny.
This is unlike me, as I usually do a really detail oriented review, but there's not much to this. Nor is there anything that competes with it.
The bonus item, was this small, about 4"x2" spongie thing. It's SOOO soft, and looks like it came off those memory foam mattresses. (I have the memory foam topper on my Sealy) I paid nothing, and it was included for free. I only ordered two items from them.
I'm not sure what it's for yet, or what you can use it on. I have e-mailed them, thanked them for the gift, and asked what its uses where. I can't wait to use this!!
Just sharing a cool product.. and one I find is a must to dress tires.
