i have a black ram 1500.
Would i benefit from going over the truck with meguirs 205 then #21 sealant for best shine and protection.
Has some very minor scratches already from just day to day use.
Was thinking red pad.

205 would be good, but I would try white pad first.

Re: Ram 1500 - will this be ok?

I'll be taking delivery next week of a 2015 Ram 1500 Laramie, silver. This is what I intend to do as I've done with several of my cars in the past. The following process seems to have worked pretty well for those vehicles. Looking for opinions and suggestions.

First, wash, then clay. Then one coat of Blackfire Wet Diamond. The truck will be garaged when not being used. I clay once a year and apply BFWD twice a year. I apply Rain-X to windshield which I've good luck with in the past.

I use a Porter Cable. Can someone remind me which color/type of pads to use for the BFWD application? I lived in CO mtns for many years and had good luck with my method. I know it's pretty basic. Main problem I had was keeping metal/chrome on front from spotting/etching.

I know there is a lot more I could do but trying to balance between protection and time involved. Live in eastern KS now so not too much salt or snow. Do have some gravel roads but not offloading. Thanks

After washing my truck I sit there and admire it for days and love the shine. Then it rains and I regret getting black

Beautiful job!!!:dblthumb2:My black Ram is a part time job for me but when they're taken care of properly, wow do they shine!

Went over the truck with white pad and MG 205 then MG #21 sealant. Looks like glass. Now i'm going to put 2 coats of wax on it. I will post pics after the wax.
