I was in Walmart the other day and noticed what appeared to be a new version of ScratchX. It’s not called 2.0 anymore and the label says it contains was. Anyone familiar with this change.
Have not used this product for a long time but I do have stories from when it was first launched.
The nomenclature "2.0" or anything like that is usually to indicate a formula update, (as you know), and it could be Meguiar's just decided to remove it and then they don't have to update the label anytime they update the formula.
When I worked there, formulas were updated anytime new technology was introduced that would improve the product BUT just because the formula was updated they didn't throw a Ticker Tape Parade, they just did what is called,
A rolling change
Throwing away hundreds, thousands, tens of thousands, etc. of labels because you want to start filling a bottle, tube or jar with a new and improved formula costs a lot of money.
