Bought some 18" Bosch Icon Single Beam Blades at Wally World a couple days ago and mounted them up on the ole Tahoe.

With tax, these were close to $40 Skins! Holy Moly! :wow:

These are the most expensive Blades I ever threw on a vehicle, but was getting tired of the lesser and bottom of the barrel cheapies starting to shed rubber in less than 6 month's time no matter what I threw on them as a protectant.

Not sure how these will be, but sure hoping they last somewhat longer, and as well work better! LOL

Does it rain in New Mexico? Or do you use the wipers to brush the sand off the windshield?

Just asking...:p

LOVE my MICHELIN STEALTH Blades. Also from Wally World. Best blades the Xterra ever had. I'll agree tho. Some of the blade prices are INSANE.

Just checked my records. $34 for the pair. Installed last October.

Have you tried silicone wipers? They supposed to last longer and withstand UV better.

If they're 40 bucks at Wally's, they've gotta be upwards of 60 at your friendly local dealer.

Probably more of the latter! And the wicked desert sun beating UV on them whenever out and about.

I buy Anco Contours on Amazon, a pair cost me around $25. I have tried other higher dollar blades over the years, Anco's never let me down. IMO best blade I have ever had!

I've been buying Aeros at the same place and you get the pair, I've been happy with them, been using them for a few years.

A good windshield treatment goes along way to negating expensive wiper blades.

You have a link to these, Mark?

And so true about keeping the wind shield treated. Every 2nd or 3rd wash, I still slap a coat of 845 on mine. I can get good year out of OEM Mopar blades dong this.

I've purchased the Bosch Evolution blades off of Woot. They've had them for $7 and $8 each a few times. Each time they've had them I buy the limit.

I used to like silicone wipers, when the price was right. I always presumed they were made out of a different type (silicone) of rubber...but it appears that they are the same rubber, only silicone "treated". Well, you can treat regular wipers with 303 or any other PDMS dressing and have "silicone" wipers.
