Hello all. I am looking for just some advice on some products to get me started. Since there seems to be a HUGE assortment of products. First let me state that I have no intention of doing this to generate income. I am just looking to keep the vehicles that I do have in the best shape I can. Having recently just purchase a new 2013 CTS-V sedan I want to keep it nice. Of course, I had to choose black, which is going to be hard to keep clean, but when the black is clean and polished it looks so good! Also, I live in a small town and product availability is pretty limited I was able to find some Meguires products and have used that but I am looking to complete a “kit” that will cover the interior, exterior, tires, wheels, and glass. I was looking at the Wolfgang line something like this: http://www.autogeek.net/wg9500.html would this be enough to get going? I live in the desert so sun protection for the paint and leather are a priority. Also, this is not my daily driver but I will also be doing my other vehicles as well… a 2005 Inifinti G35, 2005 Nissan Titan.. looking forward to the suggestions. Feed back please

Opps I forgot one minor detail. The CTS-V has suede seating surfaces. Most of the interior products I have found locally say do not use on suede...

Nice car!! Congrats!!

Well getting a kit is the best place to start! The Wolfgang one is great!

For a black car I would shy away from Claying (you can cause micro marring) and use two bucket wash with at least two mitts. I use three. One for the top half, one for lower panels, one for rocker panels.

I would also recommend a drying aid such as a QD while drying to avoid scratches. Or even better, invest in a master blaster.

For an LSP, sealants are better in the heat than waxes. Wolfgang Deep Gloss is great on black cars!

For the suede seats, be careful with what you use. My amg has a lot of alcantara in it. I only use Swissvax Alcantara Cleaner. It's expensive but incredible on suede and alcantara.

LOVE the cts-v, very jealous!! Wolfgang products are very good! I used the paint sealant last fall and its still going strong! Just make sure you follow the directions and watch some of the videos here on the forum. The sealant has a 12 hr cure time after its applied and taken off. Meaning don't get it wet for 12 hrs after. You can also apply a second coat after the 12 hrs or a wax coat like Collinite 845!! You will be very happy with the Wolfgang products.
