Black paint can be seriously frustrating and some more so than others.

On most paint this DA stage of final polishing is not required but sometimes with black paint you just have to do it.

You've given a ton of great information and couldn't be more correct regarding black and the more darker colors. I've found that trial & error along with some experimentation with pad, product, and speed when using a rotary make a world of difference. :props:

Thanks Bobby, This black Yukon was such a challenge. I learned a few things while working on it. 1. I went into the compounding stages surprised at how soft the paint was then come through the polishing stage realizing that it was actually very hard paint. Weird.

2. I learned that it is time for new wash mitts and new microfiber towels. By the time I got the overheated M-205 splatter wiped of the thing was all covered in scratches.:mad:
