I got a new honda ridgeline and there is smooth black plastic around the shifter and cup holder. All I can see is it getting scratched up. Is there any way I can protect it from getting scratches. I did get the CarPro DLux for the exterior not sure if I can use for this type for the interior.

Also I want to CQuartz UK the outside. I have never used this product before. Since the car is new do I need to prep it in any way before I use the CQuartz besides just using the Eraser to get rid of any oil or dirt? Thanks in advance for you help.

1. Delux wont prevent scratching. I would say the best way to prevent scratches would be to have something like Xpel paint protection put on it.

2. You may still need to prep a brand new car, there could be scratches and swirls still. You dont HAVE to get rid of any minor defects if you dont want to and can go straight to the coating.

thank you I almost was wondering about that plastic you put on the door handles but wasn't sure what it would look like after applied. I know I will be careful but with a 11 year old and of course father time things are bound to happen. Just want to keep it as new as I can

If you want the best chance for the CQUK to bond you must prep the paint. Every dealer I know applies silicone based tire dressing and usually some kind of wax, these will interfere will th CQUK. Erasure is designed to remove polishing oils not old wax, sap, water spots or any other fallout contaminants. I've applied UK to many cars and if you want the 2 year range durability then follow the directions

I bet PlastX would clean it up nicely if it does get scratched over time ;) I use PlastX on all kinds of stuff- in my vehicles and in my house. Great stuff. Just try not to get it in any cracks/crevices.
