I am going to be working from a brick and mortar location from here on out vs my house. The only problem with the location I will be at, is there is no drain. I can easily run over to the car wash and wash it with my buckets, etc. but I was wondering if there was a solution to hold the water or channel it out the door. I have a garage door as well as a normal door, but the floor isnt level as it should be to channel water out. Squeeging it wouldnt be an option. The chemical guys mat is probably exactly what I am needing, but it's a little out of my range. Has anyone had the same issue and come up with a viable solution? I'd prefer not to spend the $599.00 if I don't have to! Thanks.

have you thought about using a garage mat and doing rinseless washes ? the mat should hold enough water and you can just vacuum it up when you are done washing .

You can purchase a water reclamation mat or you can make you own matt to direct the water out of the bay door.

#1 video is a professional water reclamation mat (CG)
#2 video is a DIY version which would only be good for "channeling"/directing the water

Do a Google search on "water reclamation mats" and you will find a variety of option. DetailKing I believe has some nice options and all the necessary tools. I also think they have a YouTube of their system and options.

I did and that would work. I have all the products already, it just wouldn't work for dirtier cars. The good thing is, I would be polishing anyway so it wouldn't be that big of a deal if it was slightly dirtier than I felt comfortable with.

saw the other post where you can make your own mat for directing water where you want it , seems like a possible alternative for you also. should hold more water, just need to get it to drain where it is out of the way.
