Hello everyone.
I have been using Zaino products exclusively for @ least 4 years.
I just discovered this site and am shocked to find no info/products from Zaino.
Please inform me on your opinions on this product in general.
More specifically is it possible to layer carnauba on it?

Thanks in advance, D

Zaino does not really distribute their products to other online retailers. You can buy from Sal or one of his local distributors. I have not used it but I do know you can put carnauba on top of it. We have a lot of members that could probably give you more info then I can. I

This is a closed forum and since Autogeek does not carry the Zaino line, you will not find much information on it. There are quite a few users here who use and are familiar with the line, but most of us do not limit ourselves to just Zaino.

You can top any Zaino sealant with a wax or another non-cleaning sealant and it will work just fine. I am a big fan of Z-AIO and I often top it with a wax...currently I'm running Z-AIO topped with Optimum Car Wax on my Subaru.

Again, Zaino makes a nice line of products but there are tons of other waxes and sealants out there. If you browse the forums and browse Autogeek's store, there is a lot of information on different products that fill different niches in the marketplace.

I used to use Zaino, still have some. To answer your questions yes you can put Carnauba on top of it but make sure you wait 24 hrs or so, the Z is very slow curing. I have found here on AG some very nice comparable products that will save you money and give you comparable results.

Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant delivers a deep, wet, liquid shimmer unlike anything you can imagine.

Four Star Ultimate Paint Protection, Four Star UPP, paint sealant

Finish Kare 2180 Poly Wipe Sealant Conditioner, Finish Kare paint sealant, finish care sealer

And there are more...look around here and see whats available. Paint Sealants like Klasse, Wolfang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant

For that Carnauba you want to layer you can get it right here. Depends on how much you want to spend but here are a couple that come to mind.

DP Max Wax- Made with pure carnauba wax and advanced polymers.

Pinnacle Signature Series II Carnauba Paste Wax will give you a deep, wet finish will exceed your expectations. car wax, carnauba paste wax, pinnacle

Pinnacle XMT 180 High Gloss Carnauba Paste Wax, XMT car wax, auto wax, best show car wax

Again I don't know your budget but there are several others that are favorites here so look around. try here. Car Wax - Carnauba Waxes- Pinnacle Carnauba Car waxes, P21s Concours Carnauba car wax

You won't find the nuba at the Z store.

The Z products are great products but there are a lot of other great products out there as well. Also keep in mind that AutoGeek has specials like , Free Shipping, 10, 15, and sometimes 20% off sales and you will never find better customer service. Also here you can buy all your top notch support supplies like Microfiber Towels, buffers, brushes, interior cleaners and protectants, and the list goes on and on.

All I will say in closing is, today is your lucky day you "discovered" detailers heaven when you came to AutoGeek!

Sit back and stay a while and enjoy the forum!.........Welcome.:buffing:

I have Zaino and will use it from time to time, but AG has never been a Zaino heavy forum. I think you will find a lot of other sealants to give similar or better results with far less effort than what is needed with Zaino...and we all know it's about the prep and not the wax/sealant being used. I prefere Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant over Zaino for it's ease of use and slicker feel. Opti-seal is another good choice and you really can't get much easier to use than that. :props:

No issues with topping Zaino with a nuba, but then you will have to remove them if you want to add another coat of Zaino later.

Maybe concider something like Fuzion if that's the look you are going for.

I used Zaino almost exclusively for several years before I got the itch to try other things. I think it's a very good product, certainly very durable. In my personal opinion, there are other products which last almost as long and are better looking than Zaino. Looks are purely subjective of course. I usually would top Zaino with Souveran which helped tone down the "plastic wrap" look.

What I don't like about Zaino, and what ultimately chased me away from using it (except for Z8) is that it did not do a good job of protecting my new black car from water spot etching. Others have noticed the same thing. I'm pretty experienced at using the stuff so I don't think it was an application issue.

Anyway, great product if you don't have the water spot problem, but as others have said, there are many other products out there which are just as good. Give some of them a try! You may be very pleasantly surprised!

Zaino is a great sealant and competes well with our Pinnacle and Wolfgang Lines. No wrong choice, it comes down to personal preference.

I have multiple Vette owners and contacts and love to top Z5Pro with our Souveran Paste for a true show winning surface. Now that might not make the Zaino guys/gals happy, but to me it might just be the prom king and queen. Id like to thing Souveran was wearing the tuxedo however (smiles).
