Decided to take advantage of a nice day here and see if I could restore my wife's headlights to a decent (and safer) appearance. Used Meguiars Heavy Duty Two Step Headlight Restoration kit. The results, while certainly not perfect, still look pretty good to me.. and she'll hopefully be able to see half decent from her passenger side again.

Very well done...especially for a 1st time. I don't know what tools you have, but another option:
1. Meguiars Ultimate Compound
2. DA polisher
3. orange pad
A few dots on a primed pad, set the machine on the highest speed setting and let it's do it's thing.
Works great.

Thank you very much! They certainly look better. I did check them last night and could see there's still some dirty spots on the lens/covering, so I'm a little disappointed. But then I'm not a pro and wouldn't have known if I hadn't been standing in front of the car.

Haven't advanced to a DA polisher yet, but kind of thinking about it. Might need to get one (or borrow/rent one locally) to really get my wife's car in shape. Lots of swirl marks can be seen when the sun shines on it. But a DA is probably down the road...

Thanks for the idea and alternative options!

Very nice results! You'll love using a DA - hurry up and get one!
