nu-b..orange peel on factory paint...

hi. i have a question for all you professionals out there. now that my car has been cleaned, clayed, polished, sealed, waxed. im noticing that my car has a bad case of orange peel. the paint is factory paint. its on a Mitsubishi evolution IX Tarmac Black metal pearl. my question is: what can i do about? where do i start? and has anybody seen this on these cars? any help or guidance would be very helpful and appreciated.

1. washed with pinnacle
2. clayed with pinncale
3. polished with wolfgang cleaner
4. sealed with wolfgang deep gloss polish 3.0
5. waxed a day later with souveran.

edit: i added pics. the reflection on the car door will show wavy lines of the green door. the other reflection is of the window wich is flat and smooth. i took those pics with iphone. so not much i can change.

There is really not much you can do unfortunately. You could have it wet sanded maybe, depending on how much clear you have to work with.

I have heard tell, from people here, that you can do a light wet sand then reclear the car.

Orange peel somewhat common on factory paint.

You would think that car manufacturers would get their paint/clear coat right???! This guy at work has a newer Ford pickup that has such bad orange peel....it's the worst I've seen. I never would have taken that truck...would have told the dealer, get me one with a better paint job!

As far as your problem, I'd probably live with it. Wet sanding and re-clearing the car is probably too expensive(for me atleast)....and whoever you would have do this might not even do that great of a job.

Nothing you can really do about it, getting it repainted again would be too expensive i think. Wet sanding could be an option, good luck

orange peel is considered a factory installed option on almost all mass produced cars. You can wetsand and reduce it, but will cut into clearcoat and could allow for lighter protection in certain areas.
