I am into reloading (ammunition for firearms) and one of the common practices among reloaders is adding Nu Finish to the walnut media when tumbling used brass to clean it.

What I am trying to figure out is what actually happens when Nu Finish is added. What properties might the Nu Finish have that make it benefit the walnut shells in the tumbling operation?

Is Nu Finish abrasive in any way, or is it simply a cleaner of some sort?

I believe it is like an all in one product. It has some polish, some cleaning ability, and is quite the durable sealant.

:iagree:

The chemical cleaners and polishes help remove the oils and dirt. Plus it adds that new car smell which confuses the wildlife.
