Oil Based Dressings

Anyone here prefer them, perhaps for engine bays and such? I picked up some CG Blue Guard II as part of a package deal recently and have been pleasantly surprised with it.

Solvent based products tend to outperform water based. The reason that they are becoming less common is not the performance, it is the regulations. Most of the carrier solvents are VOCs and the VOC levels have to be closely controlled, particularly in the US.
