So I decided to go with the Menz. 5.5 pad pc kit. And I have a couple questions. First, should I start with the nano and a white pad or sip and a white pad? Or should I start with the orange? Wool? My car has moderaite swrils I would say. Also how do I know when the polish is broken down? Thanx for the help guys!
 
Hey, i would start with the orange pad and SIP for moderate swirls. After that, go with the Nano on a white pad.

If the SIP on the orange pad doesnt do the job, try it a second time.......OR you want.. go up to the wool(which i don't usually do). The wool puts its own marks into the paint, which you then are to follow that up with the Orange w/SIP.

You'll know when the polish is broken down when you start to see like an oily looking surface. I know thats not a great definition, but its so hard to tell unless your right there watching lol. Sometimes if you see alot of dust, that means you worked the polish alil too long. Just work the polish in for 3-4 mins on a 2x2 area. When it starts to look transparent, then you are ready to wipe it off

you might even start with SIP and the white pad but AudiTTman is probably right. 5.5 inch pads with the PC will most likely yield better correction. The white might require multiple passes/more time. Figure 3-4 minutes of overlapping polishing for each 2x2 section. The polish will start to flash up behind your pad as you move 1-2 inches per socond-nice and slow. If the pad starts to gum up, brush it off gently with a tooth brush. If it starts flinging dust everywhere, do the same and mist the pad with a little water or QD. Check youtube for PC7424/porter cable/menzerna etc..there are some decent videos out there for you to watch and see different people's techniques.
 
Dublifecrisis mentioned that SIP and white which its also a great idea(i should have thought of that haha). Its just a matter of finding the right combo, and once that is complete, your set for HOURS of detailing haha
 
SIP/Orange then SIP/White then Nano/Grey always worked well for me.
