Old School Waxes - Professional Detailer.com

Here's some pics of a few dustcatchers I've got laying around the house.

Blue Coral I think made this. Late 80's/early 90's maybe?

I remember seeing this bottle in the garage since I was little. Don't remember using it too much. Choices seemed to be more limited back then. Meguiar's was the only other wax that I had heard of.

I'm not sure when I bought this, but it has been around for a while. I don't really remember using it much. Maybe I'll have to try it out sometime. Looks like a good candidate for the in-laws van.

I've got some still laying around too. My father in law had some 3M rubbing compound from the late 70's in his tool chest I inherited. Funny thing, it was still liquid!

Im cleaning out a friends garage and I found a can of Dupont New Car Wax, J-Wax paste , and a almost new can of Simonize Paste Wax.

"I have tried virtually every top product on the market ever since using the arm-breaking Simonize Paste Wax as well as T-Cut polish and Chelsea leather cleaners". JonM

Joe, just don't try the Touchless again! It was among the first WOWA sealants and it was an underdeveloped thing. Dangerous stuff and it needs to be removed with a special method if it welds itself to the finish.

Looks like it will be a gift for my neighbor! Thanks for the heads up!

go to Ebay and type wax, you'll be amazed at some of the old antique canisters.

A couple more additions. I have a few of these if anyone wants to buy one. I don't need to keep them around. I don't remember how old this is.

I found this the other day in the back stock of a paint and body shop.

Oh my gosh! Looking at those products takes me back to living with my parents and going through my Father's detailing box.

That Rain Dance takes me back a bit, almost like an old friend lol.

I had a 67 Nova and this is the only thing I used on it. It was so slick if you laid a towel on the hood it would just slide off.

was going through my grandfathers shed the other day and found a bottle of "carisma" made by turtle wax, there was not much of the label left so I am not sure what kind of product it was. Also found some good old rain dance paste wax.
