Old waxes that are no longer around

Pinnacles Paste Glaz and Pinnacles Cycle Glaz .... RIP as two great waxes !

My absolute favorite wax of all time is Classic Slipstream, a solvent-based carnauba cleaner wax from the 60's-70's. You could actually wax a car in the rain with it, and it was about as durable as Collinite. When I heard the company went under, I bought all I could find in local stores. Sadly, I'm down to my last can.

"Vista" was my Fathers favorite wax back in the day.I grew up wiping that stuff off of his vehicles.A pain in the butt to use but worked great. I remember on the old single stage paints how it would turn the towel the same color as the paint you were waxing. And another to add is Excaliber wax,I think Turtle Wax made it it was easy to use and no dusting....

Ha ha, I have a can of that--I don't think I ever used it. I was saving it for a "good" car, like my Blue Coral kit.

Eagle One Wet. Used it when I was in college. Prestone Bullet Wax. Used it after college.

I used to detail for Turtle wax and we used Excalibur, it was a good carnuba, very soft. Easy to remove

Kit Polish
Simonize Wax
Rain Dance Polish
None of these were spectacular but all worked to a certain degree....

Simonize Wax and rain dance
are still around

I've posted this before---still have some---still use it (sparingly)

Oh yeah, Simonize paste, Blue Coral, all applied by hand. Excaliber, Vista, and Rain Dance too, along with with stuff I don't remember the names of, but probably have some remnants left on the back of a shelf. I should be cleaning it out instead of being on the computer.

If you have a Big Lots, they have a few Rain Dance products.

Great thread, fond memories of the 70's and cars I wish I still had...

What about old waxes that are still around? For example:

One Grand Blitz Wax
Harly Wax
