ONR as a pad prep?

From what I've read, it seems like you generally want to apply a spritz or 2 of a QD to a pad, to ensure that you are not rubbing a dry pad on your finish. Would ONR, mixed as a QD, work for this purposes? Is there ever a time when you would NOT want to use this (or any QD) on a pad before a product application? (such as when using paste waxes + a blue or crimson pad?)

Sorry for all the threads.. i am going to be trying out my griots DA for the first time this weekend (on a work truck, and questions keep poppin into my head!

ONR as a QD would be just fine to mist the pad with.

I've used ONR QD for my polishing pal pad prep when I use to to apply Klasse AIO, PB Black Hole and White Diamond, KSG and 845IW with no ill effects in any regard.
