I keep a bug and poop kit in the car at all times. Right now I've got a bottle of Griots waterless wash, but it's about out. What's the best dilution of ONR for this use?

I realize ONR is a rinseless where the Griots is a waterless, so will I need to make changes in the way it's used for this? Right now I spray the MF really well and soak, then gently swipe. If it's heavy duty bug guts or poop I spray down with distilled water first, then spray directly onto the soiled part and let it soak a bit first. I've gotten no marring from this method with the Griots (so far).

So... what dilution to use, and is the above method ok?

Also for those who use wash and wax... does the wax content, have you noticed, change the appearance of your lsp any? or does it just keep it going a bit longer? I know each wax kind of has it's own unique look in a way, will the wax boost modify that look?

Also... what dilution to use either of them as a QD spray? The bottle has for wash and clay lube but not for QD?

I've noticed some people mist their drying towel with it as well... at what dilution for this use?

Sorry for all the (seemingly stupid) questions! This is my first time using ONR!

Very smart to keep a kit in the car. From what you describe I'd keep a small sprayer (from Home Depot) in the car fill will ONR. Just follow the directions (also available on this site, just see Optimum No Rinse). It can be diluted in more ways than one but the way you use Griots I'd dilute 1/2 oz. to 1 gallon of water (use distilled if you can) and use it the no rinse car wash way. Very good stuff.

The dilution rate for ONRWW is 8oz per gallon of (distilled) water for QD. I haven't noticed any change in LSP using it as a QD.

Anyone else? If I use it in the no rinse wash way to remove bugs then I would need a bucket and water yes? This isn't practical on a long road trip.

ONR and ONRWW dilution is 1:15 for quick detail. That would be 2oz of onr in a 32oz bottle or 1oz in a 16oz bottle. If you feel the need for a stronger solution mix for bugs 2.9 oz in a 32oz bottle for 1:10

1:15 ONRWW for QD (green mix)

no need for that, just use it as a qd or waterless..., spray wife off standard stuff! IMO no need to soak your towel first like that, just spray wipe, buff and go....good luck!

When I go to parades, I take a bottle of Megs Quick Detail spray or ONR diluted to detail spray with distilled water, and plenty of microfiber wiping towels. If I go a day early, I take a bucket, sponge, and ONR along, and do a quick wash in the motel parking lot in the morning. (Yeah, I do get some looks and comments from other people when I'm washing the truck, and they're out having morning coffee, but they understand and appreciate it when I say I'm in the parade).

8oz to a gallon to use No Rinse Wash & Shine or No Rinse Wash & Wax as a QD. But, Opti Clean is a better choice for your application.

Chris, why would Opti-clean be a better choice?

If you keep a spray bottle in your car with ONR, the standard mix of 1oz per 2 gallon or .25 oz per 32oz bottle thats fine for bugs or bird bombs you dont need anything more then that. If its a serious bird bomb you can wait longer for it to break up 30sec-1 minute and spray a corner of the towel n pick/wipe off.
