ONR in a steamer?

Short answer:NO

In my Gaia steamer, they recommend putting vinegar in it and let it sit overnight to clean it out inside. Then you must drain it afterward. You can only boil and compress water, not other chemicals.

I use ONR (small amount) in my Wagner Steamer with no problems so far. Works awesome for windows. I do empty the tank after each use and keep the tank lid off when not using.
Most people use distilled water in their steamers but I figure ONR will at least soften the water.

Thanks for the responses. Dan, do you think the ONR helps in the cleaning process and is it worth the effort of emptying the steamer after each session

It works really well for glass. Steam the glass and buff dry with a micro. The rule is always dump the tank if stored for more than a couple days.
