ONR+Spray Wax?

Just finished washing two white trucks using ONR. Both trucks have a recent coat of Meguiar's Ultimate Liquid Wax. The ONR wash job is very slick and glossy. Do I need to apply Ultimate Quick Wax for extra protection. I usually use the Quick Wax after a regular wash.

Do whatever you have time for. I like to do this to wax as i go:

For each panel:

ONR wash
Single drying pass
Spray with OCW (Optimum Car Wax)
Spread over panel
Buff to a high shine

This method only adds a few minutes to my wash and with OCW, there's no time wasted waiting for the wax to haze.
 
Here's a tip to make washing and waxing even faster...add one ounce of your favorite spray wax (mine is Meg's synthetic express spray wax...same as UQW) to your ONR wash . The slickness will actually exceed applying the spray wax to a dry surface. Wash n wax in one step. It really works.
 
That's exactly what I did about an hour ago. Used onr to wash my truck, clayed the bugs, then UQW to finish.
 
Also, after my orn wash and dry, I take my ONRQD in a spray bottle and wipe down everything with a MF. Then, UQW
 
And to answer your question, yes. The QW is what protects your wax coat. Every day or so I use ONRQD to wipe dust off and every week I apply a spray wax. Doing this often cuts down on the time I spend on it and my vehicle always looks clean, even after it rains.

I've been "a washin' n' waxin' " cars and trucks for over fifty years. I've "overkilled" enough. :D

I've been doing it the way Chris mentioned - ONR, single drying pass, spray wax, spread and finish drying. I want to give Scottwax's method (which silverfox mentioned) a try - anything that can cut down on the time spent washing and waxing is worth giving a go.
