So I have the big gallon of the original ONR. I LOVE it to use for lubrication for clawing outside of its original use to wash.

What do you guys use it for outside of that? I use it as a quick detailed for touch up spots.

What other uses is there for it? Can it be used as a drying aid cause of the lubrication? I see others use it but the 'wax' version, not the original.

Any tips for an ONR newb? I tried searching but I couldn't find a clear thread on this topic.

Quick Detail
Rinseless wash
Clay lube
Detail spray
Waterless wash for neglected older cars
Window cleaner
Interior dust remover
Spot clean rim smudges

I also use it as windsheild whiper fluid in the summer to clean my windsheild cause i wax it (so it dont strip my wax)

Strictly as a rinseless.

One thing it excels over others is its long working time. Both UWW+ & Uber evaporate at a much faster rate during hot climate. ONR lasts tens of minutes when the temp gets up in the high 80's, allowing me to pretreat a whole side & lazily work my way around the vehicle. I'd have to work at a more brisk pace or pretreat smaller areas at a time with the other two.

In addition to what others have mentioned I find it great for wiping down the interior and for cleaning smudges off of the headliner--just make sure you don't get the headliner very wet.

Outside of detailing I use it to clean the outside of the house windows--normal ONR mix with one or two drops of Dawn in a gallon of water--wipe the window with a MF dampened with the ONR mix and then squeegee the window. Seems to keep the exterior of the glass cleaner longer.

damp towel with ONR to remove residues polishes, FTW.

Really? I haven't noticed that yet. (Of course, it hasn't been 80 degrees in about 7 months.) This is at the 1oz:3gal ratio for WGURW?

All three were at the suggested detailer solution as pretreatment.

Not at all negative against the other two. It is recommended that the washing be done in small sections anyways. Just flat out laziness on my part... lol

I'm kind of happy, to be honest. Now I don't feel bad for it sitting in the corner by itself for long periods. It now has a special asset among the newer stuff. When weather gets hot - ONR is a go.

Window cleaner, floor cleaner, interior cleaner including our leather seats. We wipe our leather couch down with it, my computer screen, TV screen , ect.

The only thing I dont like it for is a waterless wash lol....go figure.

At rinseless dilution:
- Rinseless wash
- Wipe down door jambs
- Interior wipe down
- In steamer
- Window cleaner

Can also be used as clay lube in stronger dilution.

My wife uses it for many house cleaning tasks at rinseless dilution.

I'm guessing you're probably asking about its use related to a car, but I recently used ONR to wash both sides of the windows in my house.

I pre-sprayed the glass with a rinseless dilution of ONR, and then used old microfiber towels to wash the windows, much the same as I would do a rinseless wash on my car by soaking the towels in a bucket of ONR rinseless solution. I used one towel per window, but didn't do passes in one direction as I would on a car's paint because I wasn't as concerned with scratches. I did a second pass with a clean towel that had been soaking in the solution and wrung out, and then dried the windows with a dry towel. It didn't take long at all, and they came out very clean, without any streaks. The windows also seem to be staying cleaner longer after being washed with ONR.

First off, THANKS for all the great replies! So many great ideas. Origianlly I was wondering if I could use it as a lubricant when drying. But had no idea on MANY of these ideas. Good stuff.

In a steam machine.
Curious--how does that work? What are teh benefits of ONR in a steam machine??

Wiper fluid is interesting, same goes with using it as a window cleaner or dust remover!

Awesome! Thanks for teh idea!

Interesting no one mentioned this or I just missed it but I always put a cap full in both the wash (with soap too) and rinse buckets.
