ONR with 2 bucket method

most recommend the 2 bucket method for ONR. do u need to use a grit guard in the soap bucket also, and how does this work without adding new swirls when u remove the existing dirt with a mf towel?
 
I would suggest having a grit guard in both buckets. It enables the dirt to sit at the bottom without being kicked up too much. Also helps you with removing dirt from your sponge, mitt, whatever your using.

When you wipe with your mitt with the ONR it removes the dirt. And then you wipe with a quality micro fiber drying towel.
 
It is not necessary, but I would recommend it. Why chance any grime staying with your wash media?

I dont use 2 buckets. The Integra boys and Optimum dont believe it is either. I prefer a Dirt Dobber over a Grit Guard. I bought the new Opti Mitt and like it a lot. I also use a Shamrock MF. I blot dry with an HD Guzzler or a Mothers Performance Towel. These are both foam core MF;s and blot dry exceptionally well IME. Never induce swirls with this method, but the Ford is ceramic and the XLR is the hard as hell Corvette clear.
 
If I'm washing two or three cars I will use 2 buckets and 2 sponges with ONR. if the car is really dirty I will use 2 buckets as well. I bought two grit guards and I use them for every wash.

Most days I will use 1 bucket+grit guard+1 sponge and 3-5towels. ONR+mf towel cleans the wheels. rarely do I need brushes or APC for wheels.

I would do this too if I was doing more than 1 at a time. You should try an Opti Mitt if you get a chance. Corey did an outstanding review of it.
