35 and 16 Ounce Bottle Racks - Garage Accessories - In Your Garage - Griot's Garage

Long story short, I used wooden plank shelving with L brackets that you can buy in HD or Lowes in my garage, and they split, and the edges started to collect mold. I guess they don`t do too well in garages. They didn`t get too wet when washing in my garage, and I try to keep the temp in there at 40 during winter. I found these. I would need at least 2 for my most common chemicals, but a 3rd would be nice. You guys have any alternatives that are somewhat cheaper, or just as good but more space?

Thanks.

I got the email too. I just set my stuff on a regular shelf. No thanks

Yea, I was thinking about buying and cutting wood and then sealing them as I left the L brackets up. Once that presswood gets a bit of moisture in it, it just separates. I guess I really like these because they`d look nice. Lol. But for the $$$.

Well, if you order right away you get another one free; just pay processing and handling. :)

I just use a towel rack cheap and works great. For the Griot's racks most of their stuff is over priced.

A bit up there on price for what you get, but they do look "professional." If you have red detailing carts & tool boxes, these would compliment the theme well.

If anything, a well-dressed garage would draw positive reactions from clients, that's for sure.

This was my thought because in the spring I will be painting my floor, hanging up some stuff, and switching to newer lighting fixtures. First impressions are crucial IMO.

Look at blazingbelltech.com they sell a bunch of stuff like this .

I always have used a shoe rack that you hang on the door like this....

^^ Thought about that before. But the only issue is the doors i can hang it on are out of the way. Oh well, guess ill just cut wood and seal it to use. Thanks guys.

I was referring to those TV commercials that sell those niche products; that usually go into BOGO-mode in the latter half of the commercial.

Put up plastic or metal rain gutters (the oversize ones that are a little deeper and wider). They come in different colors or can easily be painted or decorated to match a specific decor or theme. For example, in a detail shop you could trim the gutters with car and truck wallpaper borders and edgings.

The gutters can be run along your wall at any desired length and with adequate numbers of brackets or screws are strong enough to hold most of your detail supply cans and bottles. Metal and galvanized guttering is best for very long, straight runs. The gutters can also be set in to utilize corners, as the attached photo example shows.

The photo shows the gutters used for books and decorations but they can be used for anything. Best of all they are cheap and can be installed easily and quickly with everyday hand tools. And as I said before, you can decorate them and make them as attractive as your imagination permits. You may have to click on the photo to get a larger and better view.

^^^ I had seen that idea posted before elsewhere. It really is a good idea, but not in my garage honestly.
