As you know I have a bit of a collection when it comes to all that is MF towels ! I purchase many that I never even get to use, and store away as similar or copies of my favorites. Recently a friend emailed me this picture and some background on the towel.

I would like to know your thoughts, and if it could be used in car detailing ?? The towel is MF, designed for personal use, and looks almost too soft and fluffy for car care. Before I open my wallet and buy a dozen to checkout first hand, I would like your thoughts. I was thinking maybe as a wash towel only !

i would have to say way to soft for detailing. anysofter then the cobra plushtowels i wouldnt use 70 /30 is the softest id go. but thoses might work for a wash towel

Either a wash or a waterleass wash like PB S&W or even QD. However, I haven't had much luck with traditional MF being absorbant and I don't think these would be any different. I have felt similar MF towels but I knew it wouldn't fit in my arsenal. They are very thick and plush though. There are other venders out there that sell a thick towel and it seems like they are popular though.

Except for a final buff with a QD I'm getting away from the fluffy ones. Love the edgeless and all-purpose. Just one mans opinion.
Anyway that you can get just one or two to try rather than commit to a dozen.

they are sold as bath towels, meaning they should be quite absorbent. I dont think the makeup would make a difference (70/30 versus 80/20) as much as these appear almost like combed cotton or chenille versus normal thin well defined nap.

I would use them for wash... but dependent on how dirty the car was. they look like they could hold alot of particals that could otherwise scratch car. Definately look good for application of SW or QD'r. Maybe even windows! Could be for dusting on interior as well.

Colors are kinda fruity.. but I can look past that!

If you know someone who can sew really well maybe they could be turned into bonnets?

I have a couple sorta like that ..they are bath towels....got them at Linens and things....I use them as bath towels..I did get a few of the hand towels and I use them as a QD towel and they are nice...the ones I have are very absorbent....they would not be good for polish removal as they are to soft and plushy...and would be nice as a wash towel for ONR as they are plush and thick....

I paid 19.99 for the bath towels and 4.00 for the hand towels....and I had a 20% of coupon which helped....

I say if the price is right go for them..if you do not like them as a car towel...good for the baby towels.....

Those are really fluffy! Looks like they could be used for washing the car.

They seem like they would lint like crazy! Definitely a little too plush for my liking.
