Anyone have any experience applying Hyper-Seal? If it's as easy as they say, (similar to Opti-Seal), should be pretty simple.

OPTI-COAT products aren't available Autogeek. Looks like it's a maintenance product and used as a drying aid. Should be pretty easy to work with.

From the Opti-Coat website -
Opti-Coat® Hyper™ Seal is The Ultimate™ maintenance solution to help prevent bonding of contamination such as hard water deposits, bug splatter and other airborne contamination. Opti-Coat® Hyper™ Seal creates a super slick surface for easy cleaning in high pollution environments. Use Opti-Coat® Hyper™ Seal on wet surfaces as a drying aid after washing or apply to dry surfaces including paint, plastic moldings, rubber seals and glass.

It won't eliminate a product from your arsenal, but you can use the OPC on interiors as well. I dilute it 10:1 and it works really well to clean grubby switch gear/other high-touch points as well as rubber floor mats etc. IMO it would be way too hot for most interiors at Optimum's recommended 3:1 ratio.

Opticoat is Optimum's professional line of products and Hyper Seal is their ceramic spray sealant. They revamped the formula in April of 2021. The original Hyper Seal was a silicon dioxide spray. The newer version of Hyper Seal has both silicon dioxide and silicon carbide. It is supposed to be more durable than the original formula.

I only have experience with the original version of Hyper Seal. I found it to be an excellent spray sealant. For me, the pros are that it goes on really easily. It is supposed to be a WOWA product. I still found a few high spots, but they were easily wiped away. The slickness and gloss it produced were great. The cons are 1) my version had a mildly unpleasant chemical smell. For me this is not a deal breaker. But if you enjoy using a spray sealant in part because of the pleasant scent, this is not the product for you. 2) It is a pricey product. The last time I checked, it cost $50 for 16 or 17 ounces. And you have to buy it directly from Opticoat, so there are no discounts or coupons. IMO, there are plenty of great silicon spray sealants sold on AG that work just as well, have a more pleasant scent, and cost a lot less, especially with the frequent discounts that AG offers.

Thanks joe. My thoughts as well. I'll see how I like it.

Tried it last night. I like it. Gloss is great.

Looks good! Was this applied over bare paint?

I started using Hyper-Seal back in April (2 coats over bare paint) & now use it as a drying aid after my monthly wash. So far I'm very impressed. This is coming from a long time Opti-Seal & OCW user.

This was Opti Seal applied to bare paint.

Sorry. I was going off the thread title. Opti-Seal is great. Not the best longevity but super easy to apply.

Really like it but as you and others have said, not the best longevity. Beading is average. I have ONR, OCW, Opti-Clean and Instant Detailer and Gloss Enhancer. I plan on staying within the OPT line. Their soap cleans well. Taking a break from trying so many different products.
